Help the RTC Prioritize Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Projects
Take an online survey and provide project ideas
Published Thursday, August 9, 2012

The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) seeks your input for setting priorities to fund transportation projects. There are two opportunities to respond by August 30, 2012: an online survey and sharing ideas for transportation projects.
Your input will be used to help the RTC determine which projects to prioritize for the 2014 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).
Online survey
The RTP is a long range transportation plan for the Santa Cruz County area. The long range transportation plan identifies multi-modal transportation needs (highway, road, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, etc.), prioritizes limited transportation funding, and develops a strategy to fund projects.
Public input on the goals and policies for the 2014 Regional Transportation Plan prioritized maintaining the current transportation system, improving safety, and expanding options for how people travel. In order to make the best use of limited transportation dollars, the RTC needs your input on this phase of the plan development: project selection!
The survey is really short, and should only take you about five minutes. It will be extremely valuable for the RTC to know where and how you like to travel, any barriers that you face, and what types of transportation projects will provide the most benefit to the people in our community.
Share your transportation project ideas
Provide your transportation project ideas
Please also provide your ideas on specific transportation projects that you think could improve transportation (automobile, bus, bicycle, pedestrian, commercial, etc) in Santa Cruz County.
