Fun-Raising at People Power Fundraising Dinner

Thanks to everyone who came out and pitched in for People Power’s 2012 Fundraising Dinner, held on December 9th at the 418 Project in Santa Cruz. It was so inspiring to see the bike community gathered together, and we’re happy to say the event was a success- we raised over $6,000 for People Power! These funds will go a long way towards supporting Santa Cruz County bike advocacy in 2013.
A big thank you to all of the farms and merchants who donated food, as well as the local businesses, industry and artisans who generously donated items for the silent auction, and all of the volunteers who helped out with everything from setting tables to powering the bike-powered blender. We could not have done this without you!!
Special thanks go to keynote speaker Barry Bergman of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, the 418 Project, the Resource Center for Nonviolence for tech support, and last but not least Jozseph Shultz of India Joze, who donated his time to prepare the fabulous food for the event.
