This navy blue and white striped engineers cap helped secure funding for the purchase of the Santa Cruz County rail line stretching from Watsonville to Davenport along the coast. Supporters traveled to the State Capital twice wearing these caps to show their unified support for the project, and the California Transportation Commissioners were impressed.
